To recognize and meet the needs of our neighbors, pledging to help individuals to become compassionate contributors to family, community and society; we vow to accomplish this one life at a time. We have a new building on the same street as our Care Center, which we are developing into a community center. The center will meet the educational needs of the children through tutoring as well as reading, computer and G.E.D. classes. Phase two of this location will include a 20'X30' building in the backyard to function as a workout and physical fitness facility. Resident and non-resident volunteers have worked to clean up and beautify the neighborhood using donated materials. Our urban farming project will make productive use of open spaces. Our food pantry at 5732 S. Lowe has grown rapidly in just 2.5 years and we now provide supplementary food to 500 families per week during two 4-hour days of operation out of our 1000 sq. ft. renovated bungalow. In total we serve over 4500 families on a regular basis.
