Rainbow House is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization working to end domestic violence. Our mission is to provide outreach, violence prevention services, and shelter referral to individuals, families, and communities, and to be effective public policy advocates for systemic change that reduces the prevalence and impact of domestic violence. We help domestic violence survivors by providing the resources necessary to live a life free of violence. We accomplish this goal through individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, prevention and intervention education,specialized community outreach, referrals for further services, safety plan creation and emotional support. Located in Little Village, Rainbow House serves mainly underserved Latina women and children. All services at Rainbow House are free and made availablein both Spanish and English.
