Buying, Selling, & Leasing Supports The Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation
The Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation (Renaissance Knights) in Chicago is using chess to develop students into thoughtful, confident, and compassionate individuals. As a member of Investing In Communities®, this organization can receive funding as a result of any brokered real estate transaction – home sales, home purchases, and commercial leases. When more supporters use this platform, at no cost to themselves, before engaging a real estate agent, the Renaissance Knights will have more resources to offer after school chess programs and teach students valuable life skills while enjoying the game of chess.
Many children lack a good place to go after school. Many have no consistent positive adult presence in their lives. Since 2005, Renaissance Knights has helped to fill this void for over 20,000 students in the Chicago area. They offer after school programs, summer classes, and organize some of the biggest Illinois chess tournaments. In 2015, the foundation was recognized by the mayor of Chicago for its innovative approach to investing in the city’s youth.

Tournaments
Renaissance Knights organizes more than 25 Chicago and Illinois chess tournaments each year. These chess tournaments give Chicago and Illinois youth extra motivation to work hard and develop both chess and life skills. It is a great way to teach kids to work towards goals and compete in a healthy, safe environment.
Cops and Kids Chess Initiative
Partnering with Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Police Department, Renaissance Knights started the Cops and Kids Chess Initiative to promote non-violence and foster positive interactions between local police and students. Students involved in the after school chess programs have the opportunity to compete with Chicago police officers and show off their skills in a big chess tournament.
